Indian cops who entered Nepal in uniforms returned

DHANGADI: Nine personnel of Indian Police who had entered Nepal in uniforms have been returned.

Locals had informed the law enforcement agency after spotting Indian cops in Chisapani area on Wednesday.

Then, they were taken to the Area Police Office, Chisapani. When asked why they have arrived in Nepal, Indian cops said they had entered Nepal for visit after hearing Nepal is celebrating Visit Nepal 2020.

DSP Dakhsya Kumar Basnet at District Police Office said the cops who had entered Nepal from Nepal-India border point Rupaidiha were returned to India the same day.

They had left their arms at the border point.
