Singer Astha Raut asks police to be ‘cultured’

KATHMANDU: Singer Astha Raut on Thursday took to social media to vent ire on a policewoman on duty at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu.

Singer Raut went live on Facebook, which she later removed and even sought apologies for using ‘harsh words’ against the policeman, complained that a policewoman ‘misbehaved’ with her at the airport.

According to her, the policewoman used “inappropriate” works to her while Raut was passing through the security screening process at the airport.

Singer Raut said she could not control her temper and shouted at the policewomen for being ‘bossy’.

“Police on duty need to be well-mannered and cultured,” Raut, who was on her way to Sikkim, has said in her video.
