APF set up border outpost in Kimathanka



KIMATHANKA: Armed Police Force (APF) has established a border outpost (BOP) at Kimathanka checkpoint in Bhotkhola rural municipality-1.

APF sources said this was so far the first armed police post along the northern border. Brigadier chief of APF Eastern Region Headquarters Nagendra Bahadur Thapa and Chief District Officer Jeewan Dulal jointly inaugurated the police post on Wednesday.

The post is around 162-km away from Sankhuwasabha district headquarters, Khandbari. A two-story building has been taken on rent for the setup of the police post.

The BOP based in Kimathanka is located in a kilometer from the Nepal-China border, informed the APF sources. With this the number of BOP of APF has reached 112.
