Kathmandu Valley witnesses 501 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 501 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 373 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 44 in Bhaktapur and 84 in Lalitpur

Meanwhile, 1,197 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 210,973 with fresh cases as of Monday afternoon.

A total of 2,934 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 176,364 in the country.

Nepal currently has 33,379 active cases.

Likewise, 1,013 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as nine people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,230, the Ministry confirmed.
