Province 1 COVID-19 tally reaches 12,702 with 407 fresh cases

BIRATNAGAR:  With 407 fresh cases of coronavirus added to the province case tally on Friday, the number of COVID-19 case in Province 1 has reached to 12,702 till today.

According to the Ministry for Social Development of Province 1, there have been 207 cases in Morang, 200 in Sunsari, 29 in Jhapa, 7 in Tehrathum, 4 in Udayapur, 3 in Ilam and 2 each in Dhankuta and Sankhuwasabha in last 24 hours.

Similarly, 1 each of Bhojpur and Taplejung and 12 persons from outside the province also tested COVID-19 positive on Friday.

Likewise, Province 1 got 221 discharged after recovery today. According to the Ministry, out of the discharged cases 209 are from home isolation and 12 from Biratnagar based Neuro Hospital.

With this 5,561 people have been discharged from various isolation centers till date.

1445 people had got their swabs tested on Friday. A total of 1,43,933 PCRs have been tested in this province till today.
