Coronavirus-infected 74-yr-old dies at Nepal Korea Friendship Hospital



BHAKTAPUR:  A 74-year-old woman infected with COVID-19 has died in the course of treatment at Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital in Bhaktapur district.

The septuagenarian woman passed away while undergoing treatment at 5 pm Thursday, said Rupesh Shrestha, the administration chief of the Hospital.

The elderly who was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after she complained of respiratory complications tested positive for the virus on the same day, informed Shrestha.

Similarly, a 41-year-old man died of coronavirus infection at Bhaktapur Hospital.

Originally from Dhulikhel municipality-9 and currently staying at Madhyapur Thimi, Nilbarahi, the patient died on Thursday afternoon. He had been admitted to the hospital on October 7.

Nepal Army is making preparations to manage both the bodies of the deceased.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 47 in Bhaktapur district. Of them, 34 are males and 13 are females.
