KATHMANDU: The Airline Operators Association has decided not to fly aircraft without full capacity.
Disagreeing with the government’s decision to fly with only 50 percent passengers, the Association said in a discussion at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation on Wednesday that it was not possible to fly with 50 percent passengers.
Anoj Rimal, first vice-president of the Association said that domestic flights will not be able to start from September 17 unless the government makes a practical decision.
He said that the letter to this regard was registered in the Ministry on Wednesday.
Although regular international flights and charter flights have been opened to rescue Nepalis stranded abroad, domestic operators have been pressuring the airline operators to resume flights.
Despite the government’s decision to open the flight from September 17 due to pressure from businessmen, there are indications that domestic flights will not start immediately after they disagreed saying that some conditions were not practical.
