Kathmandu Valley records highest single-day Covid-19 surge with 172 new cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 172 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Sunday, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that 172 persons have been infected with the pandemic virus in the last 24 hours.

According to Ministry, 126 persons from Kathmandu, 38 persons from Lalitpur and 8 persons from Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the coronavirus.

Similarly, 641 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the national tally to 26,660.
