COVID-19: Pokhara Metropolis witnesses 10 fresh cases



POKHARA: Pokhara Metropolitan City has reported 10 new coronavirus cases on Sunday morning.

Tests conducted at the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences and Tuberculosis Treatment Center, Pokhara in the last 24 hours found 15 people infected. Of them, 10 are from Pokhara, four from Tanahun and one from Parbat.

Tests at Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences have found infection in 51-year-old and 52-year-old men of Pokhara-8, an 86-year-old woman of Ward 32, a 53-year-old man of Ward 26 and a 38-year-old man of Ward 28.

Likewise, a nine-year-old boy, a 40-year-old man, a 13-year-old girl and a 36-year-old woman from Byas Municipality in Tanahun too have contracted the coronavirus.

The Directorate of Health issued a statement this morning confirming that five more people in Pokhara were found infected in tests conducted at the Tuberculosis Treatment Center, Pokhara.

Two men aged 22 and 30 years and women aged 22 and 50 of Pokhara-16 have been diagnosed coronavirus positive, while a 33-year-old woman of Pokhara-5 too has contracted the pandemic virus.

Likewise, a 30-year-old man of Bhanu Municipality-4 of Tanahun and a 35-year-old man from Parbat have been diagnosed positive.
