Public transports in Kathmandu Valley adopting card payment



KATHMANDU: Public transports in Kathmandu Valley are adopting a system for payment through cards following an attraction towards digital payment.

This new method is also seen to be effective to contain the spread of the coronavirus as the virus can spread through cash.

Sajha Yatayat has already started receiving fair through the card system.

Similarly, NMB Bank has entered into an agreement with Kipu Bus Service to arrange electronic payment.

Sundar Yatayat will start an electronic payment system (digital payment system) from Sunday. Sundar Yatayat has stated that it is going to install an electronic payment machine in collaboration with ESEWA and a Chinese company.

The machines will be installed in 25 vehicles of Sundar Yatayat on Sunday, said Chairman Bhesh Bahadur Thapa.
