Shahi and Karki recommended for AIG



KATHMANDU:  The government has recommended two Deputy Inspector Generals (DIG) of Police to the post of Additional Inspector Generals (AIG) of Police.

A meeting of the promotion recommendation committee held in Singha Durbar on Wednesday recommended DIG duo Niraj Bahadur Shahi and Pradyumna Karki to the post of AIG.

Home Secretary Maheshwor Neupane, Member Secretary IGP Shailesh Thapa Chhetri and Public Service Commission member recommended them to the post in line with the Rule 27 (4) of Nepal Police Regulations, 2071 BS (with amendment).

The two posts of AIGs were lying vacant after AIG Shailesh Thapa Chhetri was promoted to the post of IGP and AIG Tarani Lamsal retired on the ground of age limit.
