Arghakhanchi records 15 COVID-19 patients including expecting mother



ARGHAKHANCHI: The Arghakhanchi district in State No 5 has reported a total of 15 COVID-19 new cases including an expecting mother.

According to the District Health, Arghakhanchi’s Public Health Officer Inspector Ganesh Poudel, the COVID-19 test conducted at the state public health lab in Bhairahawa showed that seven persons from Sita Ganga Municipality had been infected by the flu-like infection.

Similarly, one COVID-19 case was reported from Bhumikaisthan Municipality and Panini Rural Municipality each in the district while Chatradev Rural Municipality recorded two COVID-19 cases.

Three cases of COVID-19 was seen in Malarani Rural Municipality and one from the person whose address could not be ascertained.

Likewise, police arrested 35 persons who had fled quarantine facility, according to the District Police Office, Arghakhanchi. They said that since their report did not arrive even after 14 days of staying in quarantine, they chose to flee.

Meanwhile, Rukum east district remained sans COVID-19 cases after the report of 82 suspected persons came in negative for the infection.

Ghorahi in Dang district in the State No 5 has, however, seen 56 new COVID-19 cases. With this, the number of COVID-19 patients in the district has reached 243, it was shared in a routine press meet by the Ministry of Health and Population. RSS
