Monsoon becomes active; rain forecast for three days



KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division says as the monsoon becomes active, weather will remain cloudy in most parts of the country with chances of rainfall in the next three days.

Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar says there is a possibility of rainfall in the country over the next three days as the monsoon wind has become active now.

According to her, the monsoon wind has already entered Nepal via the eastern part of the country on June 12.

She said the influence of this weather system will be seen mostly in the eastern and central parts of Nepal on Tuesday while its effects would be felt in the western region as well from Wednesday.

The Division has indicated the possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in several parts of the country and heavy rain at one or two places of State-1, State-2, Bagmati State, Gandaki State and State-5.
