Health worker assaulted over RDT positive result



BAJURA: People who were staying in quarantine of Himali rural municipality-5 have pelted stones at health workers.

Locals staying in quarantine misbehaved and started pelting stones at the health workers after their RDT tests came out to be positive.

Indian returnees and those coming from other places had been kept in the quarantine camps.

Health coordinator of the rural municipality Raj Bahadur Bhandari  had gone to  the quarantine camp to carry out RDT tests on Monday.

A woman among those quarantine dwellers tested positive for coronavirus. Quarantine dwellers started attacking with stones as soon as the woman’s test result came out to be positive.

Health worker Bhandari has received a deep cut in his chest in the attack. He is currently undergoing treatment at primary health care center.

The RDT tests had been conducted in three different places in Himali rural municipality of which  three people tested positive.
