Daughter-in-law, living in Sun City Apartment, tests negative



KATHMANDU: Two, out of the three from a family, staying in Pepsi Cola-based Sun City Apartments, Kathmandu had tested positive for novel coronavirus on Tuesday.

The rapid diagnostic test (RDT) had shown their results positive for coronavirus on Monday.

The swab test of daughter-in-law at the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory came out negative, Bikash Devkota, spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population said.

Earlier, her mother-in-law, 81, and spouse, 58, had tested positive on Tuesday.

Similarly, the government has sealed the Sun City Apartments which houses more than 2,000 people.

Meanwhile, the government, today conducted the test of the people staying in Sun City Apartments.

All 298 persons residing in A Block at the Pepsi Cola-based Sun City Apartments in Kathmandu have tested negative in the rapid diagnostic tests (RDT) carried out on Wednesday.
