Kathmandu DAO gets stricter in issuing passes



KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu on Wednesday issued a strict provision in issuing passes.

The DAO Kathmandu issued a notice on Wednesday saying that it would issue passes only those attending funeral rites of their relatives.

Stating that there has been a significant increase of people seeking passes, the DAO said there has been a risk of violating the lockdown.

Assistant Chief District Officer (CDO) Krishna Bahadur Katwal said the risk of coronavirus spread has increased due to the crowd of the people coming to the office for passes.

Meanwhile, people can also apply for e-pass from epass.moha.gov.np in case of urgency.
