Two villages in Saptari sealed as two people test positive for coronavirus



SAPTARI: Authorities in Saptari district have sealed off two villages after a resident in each of the villages have tested positive for novel coronavirus in the rapid diagnostic tests (RDT).

The District Security Committee today morning decided to seal off ward 1 of Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality and ward 11 of Khadka municipality.

However, the persons are yet to be confirmed as positive for coronavirus as the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results are yet to come, authorities said.

The swab samples of these two persons have been sent to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Medical Sciences for test.

Likewise, the authorities have also decided to carry out the test of other members of both the families.
