China reports 46 news cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: China which lifted its 76-day-long lockdown a week ago has reported 46 new infection cases and one more death on Wednesday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with one new death, the number of death toll in the country has reached 3,342.

Similarly, with 46 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 82,295.

Currently, 1,137 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Wuhan City, of which 1,024 (90%) are normal while the condition of 113 (10%) is critical.

A total of 77, 816 (96%) have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances globally, killing 126, 604 and infecting 1,998,111 as of Wednesday morning.

Currently, 1,392,848 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the world, of which 51,608 are critical. Meanwhile, 478,659 have returned home after recovery.
