US reports 25, 975 deaths after 2, 335 die in 24 hrs

KATHMANDU: The death toll in the United States of America (USA) has reached 25, 975 after 2, 335 died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 24, 804 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 611, 745.

Currently, 547, 095 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which the condition of 13, 473 is critical.  Meanwhile, 38, 675 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 10, 834 deaths followed by New Jersey and Michigan with 2, 805 and 1, 768 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a public health emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 126, 518 and infecting 1,995,205 people as of Wednesday morning.
