Two dead, one injured in Biratnagar accident

BIRATNAGAR: Two people were killed in a road accident that occurred at Biratnagar metropolis-4, Morang along the Biratnagar-Dharan road today. Another one has been injured in the accident.

The District Police Office, Morang has confirmed the deaths of Hareram Sah, 22, of Patara, Saptari and Ojir Rayan, 19, of Sukhipur, Siraha.

The accident happened when a motorcycle (State 2-01-001pa 1608) the three were riding en route to Itahari from Biratnagar and a tipper (Ko 1 Kha 7309) heading to the same direction collided, resulting in the deaths of two.

The injured is Dhanraj Yadav, 20, of Rupani, Saptari and is being treated at the State (Koshi) Hospital, Biratnagar.

The dead were the students at the Biratnagar-based Golden Park College, police said.

The tipper driver is under the police control along with the vehicle. The accident occurred as the motorcycle was trying to overtake the tipper.
