Leave no stone unturned to maintain peace and security: AIG Pokharel

KATHMANDU: Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Police Bishworaj Pokharel has instructed the subordinate police personnel not to leave any stone unturned in maintaining peace and security in the Valley.

Pokharel, who was recently promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General, said at a function held today that the police would play an important role in achieving the country’s goal of prosperity.

He said that the confidence of the general public towards the Nepal Police has increased due to the responsibility fulfilled by using limited resources in the current critical situation of COVID-19 infection.

“This trust needs to be further enhanced. Community support is available only if the police are citizen-friendly,” said Pokharel.

He directed the police personnel to carry out the responsibilities given by the organization with professionalism, diligence, and good conduct.
