Bhaktapur reports 116 COVID-19 deaths, 8,757 cases



BHAKTAPUR:  The number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 116 after one more person died in the course treatment recently.

The recent victim is from Bhaktapur municipality. According to District Health Office, Bhaktapur, 73 males and 43 females are among those dead.

Out of four municipalities in the district, Bhaktapur municipality has the highest number of deaths with 43 deaths (28 males and 15 females) followed by Madhyapur Thimi with 39 deaths (25 males and 14 females).

Similarly, Suryabinayak municipality has 26 deaths (13 males and 13 females) while Changuranayan municipality has eight deaths (Seven males and one female).

Similarly, the number of COVID-19 infection has reached 8,757 in the district after 23 new cases including 12 females and 11 females were reported on Monday.

Out of those infected, 8,057 including 4,545 males and 3,512 males have returned home after recovery.

Among those discharged, 2,975 are from Madhyapur Thimi, 2,527 from Suryabinayak, 1,602 from Bhaktapur municipality and 721 from Changunarayan municipality.
