KATHMANDU: Preparations for the global selection of World Cup Twenty 20 Cricket tournament will begin from February and May of 2022.
International Cricket Council (ICC) is making preparations to hold cricket matches for the global selection in two groups.
The Qualifiers ‘A’ will be held in February, 2022 and ‘B’ in May. However, it is not still confirmed in which country the match will be played.
Nepal can take part in the Global selection based on its World Cup cricket rankings.
Aside from Nepal, Zimbabwe, UAE and Singapore will play in the Global selection. Those teams selected through regional selection and those in group stage of the World Cup 2021 will take part in the competition.
