SIRAHA: A total of 116 houses are being constructed for the marginalized and impoverished Dum community in Siraha district.
With this, the member from the underprivileged Dum community in Kalyanpur and Karjanha will get the houses. These houses are being constructed under the government’s people’s housing program in the district. It is shared that 58 houses are being constructed in Kalyanpur and 37 in Bishnupur under the program.
According to Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Siraha, they were planning to complete the construction bid in this fiscal year.
There are about 4,000 people living in these villages under acute poverty. The office has planned to construct 410 other such houses for Dalit, marginalized, and underprivileged communities in the district this year.
