Team including Bahrain’s prince scales Mt Manaslu



KATHMANDU: A team including the Prince of Bahrain, who is on a visit to Nepal, has successfully climbed Mt Manaslu on Thursday.

According to the Seven Summit Treks, the team including the Prince of Bahrain, scaled the 8,163-meter-high peak at 6:10 this morning.

This is the second ascent of the season.

A team including the Prince of Bahrain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa had arrived in Kathmandu on September 16 to scale the mountain. The team consists of 15 Bahrainis and three British nationals.

Nepal’s Sherpa climbers and guides including Mingma Sherpa , Tashi Lakpa Sherpa and 50 other Sherpas assisted the team in climbing Mt. Manaslu.

Earlier, They had successfully climbed Mt Lobuche (6,119) on October 3, the first ascent of the season.

The team including the Prince of Bahrain will stay in Nepal for about two months.

The Nepal government had allowed the team to climb two mountains of Nepal – Mt Manaslu and Mt Lobuche.
