Three more people die from COVID-19 in Biratnagar

KATHMANDU: Three more people have died from coronavirus in the course of treatment in Biratnagar Metropolitan City of Morang district.

They died in the course of treatment at the COVID-19 Treatment Center of Koshi Hospital on Wednesday night and on Thursday morning.

According to the hospital, a 50-year-old man of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-4 and 66-year-old man of Dharan Sub Metropolitan City-15 succumbed to the virus.

Diabetic patient from Biratnagar, who tested positive for the virus on October 7, died at 3:30 am today, informed Gyan Bahadur Basnet, the manager of the treatment center.

Similarly, the sexagenarian man from Dharan-15 who tested positive for the virus on last Monday passed away Wednesday night, added Basnet. The patient was also suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.

Similarly, a 40-year-old woman of Sundar Haraincha municipality-5, Morang also died in the course of treatment at Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar on Wednesday evening.

She was suffering from chronic cardiac-related ailments.
