49-yr-old man from Tehrathum succumbs to COVID-19 in Dharan



SUNSARI: A 49-year-old man has died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Originally from Tehrathum, the patient succumbed to the virus at 7 pm on Wednesday, informed Dr Ashish Shrestha, the deputy spokesperson of the hospital.

Coronavirus infection was detected in him during a PCR test when he was admitted to the hospital on October 11.

Referred to Dharan from District Hospital, Dhankuta, he was also suffering from pneumonia.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 54 at the Institute.
