Gandaki Pradesh records one more COVID-19 death; tally hits 46



KATHMANDU: A 77-year-old man has died from coronavirus in Baglung district.

The septuagenarian succumbed to the virus in the course of treatment at Charak Memorial Hospital in Pokhara on Wednesday evening.

Originally from Baglung municipality-2, the infected elderly was brought to Pokhara on Sunday after his condition deteriorated.

“A 77-year-old man died due to coronavirus in the course of treatment in Pokhara,” said Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh.

Grocery shopkeeper by profession, he was also suffering from high blood pressure and cardiac-related ailments.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached two in Baglung district and 46 in Gandaki Pradesh, according to province’s the Ministry of Social Development.
