Province 2 sees 251 coronavirus case

JANAKPURDHAM: Province 2 witnessed 251 coronavirus cases, including 148 jailbirds.

According to the Health Directorate of Province 2, the province witnessed 170 cases in Siraha, 43 in Saptari, 23 in Rautahat, seven in Mahottari and four each in Bara and Dhanusha on Tuesday.

Senior Public Health Administrator of Province Health Directorate Bijaya Jha stated that Siraha saw the largest number of cases on Tuesday. A total of 148 prisoners and 22 others tested coronavirus positive in Siraha today.

With this, the COVID-19 caseload in Province 2 has reached to 12,214 till date.

Similarly, 181 people have been discharged after recovery, making the total number of discharged in the province 6,583.

The province saw one coronavirus-related death today. With Tuesday’s case, the coronavirus death tally has reached 112.
