20 more including medics test coronavirus positive in Palpa



PALPA: 20 people including doctors, their relatives and health workers have tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.

According to Om Praksah Panthi, the information official at the District Health Office Palpa, 4 medics of United Mission Hospital, and 6 medics of Lumbini Medical College have tested coronavirus positive on Tuesday.

Other people who tested positive are also the patients undergone  treatment in Hospital and the community people.

A 7-year-old daughter of a doctor working in Palpa Hospital also tested positive.

Similarly, 4 doctors of Lumbini Medical College have also tested positive for coronavirus.

According to one of the doctors, the medics working in the dialysis service have also tested coronavirus positive and the hospital is mulling over the modality of running the hospital despite the large number of cases among the doctors and health workers.

Owing to the COVID-19 cases among the medics, Palpa Hospital and Mission Hospital have already stalled all services but for the emergency services.
