US army won’t enter Nepal if MCC passed: Bishwa Prakash Sharma

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma said the discourse that if the MCC is passed American armies will enter Nepal is ‘baseless and misleading’.

“The discourse that American soldiers will enter Nepali is baseless,” said Sharma, arguing that America has not entered any countries by taking permission nor did it invade Iraq by taking permission.”

Sharma said so at a program organized by Nepali Congress, Jhapa.

He stated that people are having a negative concept about the MCC due to the misleading interpretation of it.

Sharma claimed that the MCC will be beneficial for the infrastructure development of electricity transmission lines and selling the electricity generated in Nepal.
