75 lockdown violators arrested in Sunsari



SUNSARI: The District Police Office, Sunsari has arrested as many as 75 persons for breaching the lockdown ordered by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Sharma shared that those arrested were released after giving them orientation on the importance of physical distancing and preventive measures against the deadly infection.

The federal government has been ordering nation-wide lockdown since March 24 and those violating the stay-at-home orders have been booked. Vehicles with essential supplies or services have been only allowed in this period while people have been advised to stay indoors to help stem the outbreak of the COVID-19. RSS
