Surge in number of people visiting Teku Hospital for COVID-19 tests

KATHMANDU: There has been a surge in the number of people visiting Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital also known as Teku Hospital for coronavirus tests in the past three days.

According to the hospital, around 500 people underwent tests only on Wednesday.

Hospital Director Dr. Sagar Kumar Rajbhandari said that the number of people visiting the hospital can increase further today.

“The number of people coming for a test has been increasing since this morning,” said Rajbhandari, adding that the total number of people arriving at the hospital could exceed 600 today.

According to Raj Bhandari, the number of people undergoing daily tests has skyrocketed.

He said that the number of people coming for testing has increased due to the increase in the number of people coming through the districts that have been affected by coronavirus.
