COVID-19 cases cross 100 in Province 2



KATHMANDU: The number of Coronavirus infection cases has crossed 100 in Province 2 after five more cases were reported on Thursday morning.

With five new cases in Sarlahi, Dhanusha and Mahottari this morning, the number of people infected with the COVID-19 has reached 103, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The novel virus has spread to seven districts in Province 2 after Parsa reported a first case. No cases have been seen in Siraha district so far.

Parsa district has the highest 85 Coronavirus cases, becoming a ‘hotspot’ for the Coronavirus pandemic.

Similarly, Dhanusha has 5 cases, Mahottari 4, Bara and Rautahat 3 each, Sarlahi 2 and Saptari has one infection case.

Province 5 has confirmed 94 cases so far, 35 in Province 1, 11 in Bagmati, 2 in Gandaki, and 5 in Sudurpaschim Pradesh while Gandaki has not reported any coronavirus cases so far.

Meanwhile, 35 people have recovered from Coronavirus in Nepal.
