KATHMANDU: The number of infection cases from Coronavirus has climbed to 245 in Nepal after two more persons tested positive for Coronavirus on Thursday morning.
The latest addition includes 32 year-old man from Chandragiri municipality, Kathmandu while the other is six-year old girl from Kapilvastu, said the Ministry of Health and Population in a press note issued this monring.
Their swab was tested at National Public Health Laboratory, Teku. Their health condition is said to be normal.
The infection cases from Coronavirus had reached 243 in Nepal yesterday after 24 more persons diagnosed with the novel virus.
Tweleve among those infected were from Rupandehi, eight from Kapilvastu, three from Parsa and one from Nawalparasi. They were 20 men and four women ranging from four years to 74 years old.
The infected persons include males aged 22, 22, 25, 28, 30, 32, 32, 33, and 41 from Rupandehi.
Likewise, three females aged 4, 10, 28 from Rupandehi tested positive for coronavirus.
Similarly, eight males aged 22, 29, 32, 40, 40, 40, 42, and 42 from Kapilvastu were found to be infected with coronavirus.
Likewise, two males from Parsa aged 36 and 74 respectively, and a 36-year-female were diagnosed with coronavirus.

A 36-year-old male from Nawalparasi also tested positive for the virus, according to the Ministry of Health.
Their swab was tested at National Heath Laboratory in Kathmandu, and Provincial Health Laboratory, Rupandehi, according to Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry.
Earlier on Wednesday, two persons were found to have been tested positive.
Meanwhile, 35 have returned home after recovery, according to the Ministry.
Likewise, on Tuesday, 83 new Coronavirus cases were reported in a single day with three new cases in the Kathmandu Valley alone.
According to the Ministry, Parsa district has the highest number of Coronavirus cases with 82 followed by Udayapur with 32.
Similarly, Kapilvastu has 39 infection cases, 26 in Banke, 28 in Rupandehi, 5 in Kathmandu, 4 in Kailali, 3 each in Bara, Rautahat and Dhanusha, 2 each in Bhaktapur, Baglung, Chitwan, Jhapa, Mahottari and 1 each in Bardiya, Bhojpur, Kanchanpur, Saptari, Dhanusha, Dhading and Sarlahi.
Parsa has remained one of the ‘hotspot’ of the pandemic.
Dr. Udaya Narayan Singh at Narayani Hospital, Birgunj told Khabarhub that the coronavirus infection has spread in the community in Parsa.
According to Dr. Singh, the process of throat swab test collection in Parsa is still going on. Therefore, the number of infected people may increase further.
Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division Dr. Basudev Pandey says that the number of COVID-10 cases could increase further in Nepal.
He said, “The number of infected people can increase as people have been entering Nepal from India without any restrictions.”
According to Spokesperson Bikash Devkota, 18,964 tests have been conducted by the PCR method and 59,627 by RDT so far. Similarly, additional 2,236 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours.
He said that more than 228 people have been currently isolated and added that one person is in isolation in the Kathmandu Valley and 227 outside the Valley.
According to him, 25 people are in isolation in Province-1. Of them, 19 are infected and six are suspected patients, 80 people are in isolation in Province 2, out of which 68 are infected and 12 are suspected and 25 people are in isolation in Bagmati, out of which 24 are suspected and one is infected.
Similarly, in Province 5, out of 98 people in isolation, 28 are suspected and 70 are infected.
Likewise, 12,785 people have been quarantined across the country.
