COVID-19 death toll in Brazil reaches 13,158

KATHMANDU: Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 13,158 after 754 died in the last 24 hours.

With 11,555 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 189, 157 as of Thursday morning.

Currently, 97, 575 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 78, 424 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 297,694 and infecting 4,424,150  people as of Thursday morning.
