These countries are still continuing Soccer despite COVID-19

KATHMANDU: With the coronavirus pandemic spreading in 210 countries and territories around the world and 2 internationational conveyances, most of the events involving the mass contact are cancelled; however there are some countries like Belarus, Nicaragua, Burundi where FIFA’s events are going on.

There are 1,926,235 people infected from coronavirus and 119,724 have lost their lives worldwide.

Soccer leagues around the world have been suspended to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

All group involving activities are restricted. Cinemas, schools, colleges are shutdown. Museums and theaters are closed too. Major sports events which require many people joining or being together are cancelled.

At present, 206 out of FIFA’s 211 national associations have stopped playing football.

Notably, competitions in England, Germany, Italy, Spain and France are all suspended.

However, Belarus, Burundi, Nicaragua, Tajikistan and Taiwan are bucking the trend despite pleas from the WHO to stop it.
