Coronavirus cannot be stemmed unless effective vaccine developed: WHO chief

KATHMANDU: The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that Coronavirus, which is wreaking havoc across the world, cannot be stemmed unless an effective vaccination is developed.

Talking to journalists on Monday, Dr Tedros Adhanom, chief of WHO, said that Coronavirus is 10 times dangerous than the swine flu. “The novel virus, which is fast spreading across the world, is 10 times dangerous than the swine flu of 2008,” said Dr Tedros.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 119, 568 and infecting 1,922,926 people as of Tuesday morning.

America has reported the highest death toll while China has claimed that it controlled the virus.
