US registers 23, 592 Covid-19 deaths with 1,513 in 24 hrs  



KATHMANDU: The death toll in the United States of America (USA) has reached 23, 592 after 1, 513 died in the last 24 hours as of Tuesday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 25, 793 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 586, 093.

Currently, 526, 296 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which the condition of 12, 772 is critical.  Meanwhile, 36, 205 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 10, 056 deaths followed by New Jersey and Michigan with 2, 443 and 1, 602 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a public health emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 119, 568 and infecting 1,922,926 people as of Tuesday morning.
