Manang Marshyangdi lifts Aaha! Rara Gold Cup title



POKHARA: Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) has lifted 18th Aaha! Rara Gold Cup title defeating Nepal Police Club (NPC) 4-3 in penalties in a final match held here on Saturday afternoon.

It is the sixth Aaha! Rara Gold Cup title for MMC. With the win, the team has bagged Rs one million cash prize while NPC got Rs 600,000.

The match was pushed to a penalty shootout after a stalemate in stipulated time and additional time.

For MMC, Anjan Bista, Pujan Uparkoti, Suraj BK and Rajan Bista scored in the penalty shootout.

Likewise, for NPC, Captain Bhola Silwal, Hem Tamang and Buddhibal Tamang scored the goals.
