KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has condemned Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s remarks on late Girija Prasad Koirala as ‘reckless and deplorable’.

He has termed Dahal’s remarks a height of irresponsibility.

“NCP Chairman Dahal has crossed all limits by making such despicable remarks by alleging late Girija Prasad Koirala of provoking him to launch major attacks on district headquarters during the insurgency period,” Koirala said.

Dahal had on Thursday claimed that the former NC President suggested him to launch large-scale attacks on army barracks and district headquarters.

“Dahal’s remarks seem childish as he still fears of the conflict-era issues,” Dr Koirala has said, dismissing Dahal’s claims that he was in regular contact with Girija Prasad Koirala during the conflict period.

Dr. Koirala said Dahal will have to pay for his irresponsible remarks.
