NEPSE index up by 56.72 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 56.72 points on Monday to reach 2067.17 points.

The sensitive index rose by 6.04 points to 388.16 points. A total of 12.88 million shares of 202 companies worth Rs 7.20 billion have been traded today.

The share of the hydropower sub-index has declined by 21.15 points while the shares of all sub-indices have increased.

The banking group sub-index increased by 22.1 points, trade by 161.76 points, hotels by 36.16 points, and development banks by 56.52 points.

Similarly, finance increased by 3.34 points, non-life insurance by 379.14 points, manufacturing by 106.05 points, others by 63.39 points, microfinance by 136.21 points, life insurance by one point, and mutual funds by 0.15 points.
