1 killed, 4 injured in a clash over fishing in Saptari



SAPTARI: A dispute that arose on the issue related with fishing took one life while four others got injured in Saptari.

According to Saptari Police, two groups came to physical assault against each other when the dispute on fishing in the public pond situated at Bodebarsine-3, Kushmar turned into clash between the groups.

Gangiya Devi Mandal, 45, of Kushmar died at the incident site last night.

Police have nabbed four people in connection with Gangiya’s death. The arrested are Shiva Saran Mandal, 50, Bijaya Mandal, 47, Surendra Mandal, 22, and Rabit Mandal, 28.

They were arrested by the police deployed from Area Police Office Bodebasai and Area Police Office Kadarbona.

According to the police, three more are absconding still and the police is at hunt for them.

In the meantime, the injured four are undergoing treatment in Nushing Home Lahan, Siraha.
