BIRATNAGAR: A total of 625 people have recovered and returned home in the last 24 hours in Province 1.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, the number of recoveries in the province has reached 17,778 so far.

A total of 231 fresh coronavirus cases have been reported in the province during the period, according to the ministry.

As many as 105 women and 126 men tested positive in 725 PCR tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

A total of 103 cases have been confirmed in Jhapa, 86 in Morang, 63 in Biratnagar, 33 in Sunsari, three in Ilam, two in Tehrathum, one in Udayapur, and three outside the province.

The province currently has 23,665 active cases.
