COVID-19 infected new mother dies in Dharan

DHARAN: A 19-year-old COVID-19 infected new mother has died in Dharan.

She died today at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), confirmed BPKIHS’s joint-spokesperson Dr. Aashish Shrestha. The woman gave birth five days ago.

She was admitted to the COVID-19 hospital on Friday after she was tested positive for the infection, said Dr Shrestha.

With this, the death toll from the virus at the BPKIHS has reached 98.
