Senior pilot Vijay Lama tests positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU: Senior pilot of Nepal Airlines Corporation Vijay Lama has tested positive for coronavirus.

Lama was confirmed to have been infected with the virus during his swab test at Star Hospital.

Lama’s swab had been collected on Sunday and its result came out positive on Monday morning.

Captan Uday Kolhatkar who, together with Lama, flew a widebody airbus boarded with Nepal Army officials to South Sudan three days ago has also tested positive for coronavirus.

“I am currently in Isolation of Soaltee Crowne Plaza.  Uday is also with me,” said Lama.
