Kathmandu Valley records 119 coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 119 more people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Friday afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that 83 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 30 in Lalitpur and six in Bhaktapur.

Test at the National Public Health Laboratory confirmed the infection in three from Bhaktapur, 23 from Kathmandu and one from Lalitpur, 26 from Lalitpur, one from Bhaktapur and four from Kathmandu at Patan Hospital, one from Kathmandu at B&B Hospital and 16 from Kathmandu and three from Lalitpur at Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital.

Likewise, three from Kathmandu were diagnosed positive at Dhulikhel Hospital, 13 from Kathmandu at Nepal Police Hospital, two from Bhaktapur and six from Kathmandu at Star Hospital, 10 from Kathmandu at HAMS Hospital and seven from Kathmandu at Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital.

Meanwhile, Nepal confirmed 594 fresh cases in the last 24 hours that took the national tally to 25,551.
