Irrigation Division, Khotang chief held with Rs 900,000 bribe



KATHMANDU: Chief of Irrigation Development Division Office, Khotang Narayan Shrestha has been arrested with Rs 900,000 in bribe.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Shrestha while receiving bribe from service seekers.

Acting on a tip-off that Shrestha was asking for bribe from the service seekers, the anti-graft body caught him red-handed.

DSP Narayan Chimoriya of District Police Office, Khotang said, “The CIAA is taking action against Irrigation Development Division, Khotang Chief Shrestha for receiving bribe after taking him under control.”
