Ex-Health Secy, DG Shrestha summoned for medical goods procurement scam probe

KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee has summoned former Health Secretary and former Director General at the Department of Health Services to investigate the irregularities made while procuring surgical goods.

The parliamentary committee has called Dr Khem Karki, the former secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population and Mahendra Bahadur Shrestha, former Director General at the Department of Health Services for investigation.

The government had assigned OMNI Group to procure medical goods from China in the last week of March.
