KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee has summoned former Health Secretary and former Director General at the Department of Health Services to investigate the irregularities made while procuring surgical goods.
The parliamentary committee has called Dr Khem Karki, the former secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population and Mahendra Bahadur Shrestha, former Director General at the Department of Health Services for investigation.
The government had assigned OMNI Group to procure medical goods from China in the last week of March.
OMNI Group has been accused of procuring sub-standard goods and that the amount of goods brought was less than what had been demanded.
The committee has initiated investigation into it.
