COVID-19 sample test begins in 52 districts



KATHMANDU: The government has started tests for COVID-19 in 52 districts.

Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Bikas Devkota said that coronavirus is being tested in 52 districts through two methods—Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and Rapid Diagnostic Test.

The test is now being carried out at 11 places across the nation through PCR and the test would be carried out through the PCR method in the remaining district soon, according to Dr. Devkota.

The coronavirus test of 10,982 people was carried out through both methods.
